PD (PUPILLARY DISTANCE) is the distance between your two pupils in millimeters.
Seg. Height or OC Heights are atken to properly place the optical center or multi-focal lens in the correct location.
A (+) means you have trouble seeing near, and a (-) means you have trouble seeing things faraway.
When light meets a lens, three things happen. Some light passes through a lens, which is called refraction, some are absorbed and converted into heat, and the rest is reflected off. Glare is produced when light bounces off the lens. Glare or reflections can be annoying and in some serious cases can reduce vision. To improve vision through the appearance of the lenses and glasses, an anti-reflective coating (also known as AR coating) is used.
Polycarbonate lenses are impact resistant, scratch coated, thinner lenses.
Trivex lens are lighter in weight and because of its ABBY value paient will experience better clarity.
Our Progressive lenses provide a smooth transition from the distance through intermediate to near, with all the in-between corrections included as well. You can look up to see anything in the distance, look ahead to view your computer in the intermediate zone and drop your gaze downward to read, and do fine work comfortably in the close zone.
